Compagnie Financière Tradition SA reported consolidated revenue of CHF 1,069.2m for the year ended 31 December 2011 compared with CHF 1,210.4m for 2010, a decrease of 11.7% in current currencies but an increase of 0.3% in constant currencies due to the strength of the Swiss franc.
Consolidated revenue from interdealer broking (IDB) activities stood at CHF 1,040.4m during the period, a year on year increase of 2.6% in constant currencies.
The level of activity was higher in the second half of 2011 compared with the second half of 2010, with consolidated revenue up 3.8% in constant currencies for the whole Group and up 4.0% in constant currencies for the IDB business.
In the fourth quarter of 2011, Group consolidated revenue was CHF 247.9m a decrease of 3.8% in constant currencies compared with the same period last year and a decrease of 9.2% in current currencies.
Revenue in the fourth quarter 2011 from IDB activities was down 5.0% in constant currencies compared with the equivalent period in 2010.
The United Kingdom and the Americas were still the Group’s major areas of activity in 2011, contributing 36.0% and 28.3% of revenue respectively, against 36.3% and 30.0% for the twelve months ended 31 December 2010. Asia accounted for 25.3% of consolidated revenue against 24.6% in 2010, while Continental Europe generated 10.4% of Group revenue compared with 9.1% for 2010.
